Meet the Novel Renaissance authors:
Rachel holds a B.A. in English and psychology and while she’s been a writer since she first learned to hold a pencil, she’s been seriously studying the craft of writing for a couple of decades. Her first published novel, The Language of Sparrows, won the Genesis award and was a finalist for the ACFW Carol award for contemporary novels. She lives in the Houston area with her family, where she loves to take long walks, read (of course!) and learn just about anything new. She is currently at work on a mainstream novel about an artist, a missing teenager and a ranch with a hidden story.
Irish-born Christine Lindsay is author of award-winning Christian fiction. Some of her awards are the ACFW Genesis Gold for Historical, The Grace Award, Canada’s The Word Guild Award, and Readers' Choice Award in the Faith Hope & Love Chapter of Romance Writers' of America.
Christine’s ancestors and birthplace inspire much of her writing, but it was her experience in relinquishing her baby girl to adoption in 1979 and to her reunion with her birth-daughter in 1999 that sets the emotional tone of Christine’s novels.
Recently retired, Christine and her husband simply had to move to the province of Alberta, Canada where all of their grandchildren reside. While concentrating on her beloved garden, Christine is currently writing her seventh book, not in the Christian genre per se, but more as what she calls, “not a sermon, just a well-written, clean yarn”.
